In 1995, 37 percent of computer scientists were women. Today, it’s only 24 percent. In 10 years, the number of women in computing will decrease to just 22 percent—if nothing changes.
Fortunately, Girls Who Code is fighting to battle these odds and encourage girls to pursue careers in tech by teaching computer-science fundamentals through after-school clubs and summer programs.
